Jen & Andy's Engagement shoot, Inverbeg, Loch Lomond

I spent the most amazing few hours with Jen and Andy for their engagement shoot. They wanted to return to Inverbeg where they'd spent some time together. It was a place I'd passed often but never stopped at. Now called The Inn at Loch Lomond, we met for a coffee first and talked all about the wedding.

Although the sun wasn't shining just yet, we headed to 'The Beach House' which is part of the hotel. There were so many little bits for us to explore and Jen and Andy's love for walking in the hills meant that Ben Lomond just had to feature! Thank goodness it was a clear day.

After all the hard work was done, we grabbed a bite to eat and got to know each other even more. As well as the photography, getting to know my couples is one of the most enjoyable parts to my job and results in feeling like they're good friends.

At the time of writing this, it's not very long before Jen and Andy's wedding at Cottiers in the west end of Glasgow which I'm very much looking forward to.

Here is a small selection of photos from the shoot for you all to enjoy.

Elaine & Ben's Engagement Shoot, Victoria Park, Glasgow

One thing I love when meeting a couple for their engagement shoot is catching up over a coffee beforehand. And that's exactly what we did. Of course this is usually designed to calm the nerves, but it's always lovely to just sit down and chat about all sorts of things, especially as usually I may not have seen them for over a year.

After lots of chat, we headed to Victoria Park. A place where Elaine and Ben love to go. It was perfect also because Ben is a gardener so he was in his element. They took me to a part of the park I never knew existed. We walked through secret passageways cut through the rock that would open up into the most amazing spaces with loads of colours thrown in for good measure.

Elaine and Ben get married in November and after a recent recce of the venue together, I can't wait for their day to arrive.

Thanks for being so awesome guys, here is a small selection of what we got up to for you all to enjoy.

Baby Penelope

I first met Penelope at Three Sisters Bake's Baby Social when she was just a few months old. So I was very excited when her mum asked me to take more photos of her as she neared her first birthday. It was a bit damp outside so we used the living area come play room at the back of the house which was flooded with lovely light.

I spent over an hour watching Penelope play with her toys and she had the most adorable smile ever. How could I not share that with you? Here is a small selection of what I captured.

The Dunnet Family, Lunderston Bay, Scotland

There's nothing I love more than watching a family have fun together in the great outdoors. On this particular occasion, the forecast was grey and damp, but low and behold, somewhere beyond the clouds there was a big orange thing lurking and trying to break through. The resulting light was spectacular as I watched dad leap across the water to some rocks, closely followed by mum and their three children.

Lunderston Bay is one of my favourite locations to capture a family. There are so many textures spread across a relatively small area. Everything from beaches and rocks to long grasses and tree bark. Perfect.

Here is a small selection of images I captured on what was an amazing day. Enjoy!

Tara & Ciaran's Engagement shoot, Glasgow

Saturday morning, the day of Tara and Ciaran's wedding and only then did I realise when sharing one of their engagement shoot images on my Facebook Page that I hadn't actually blogged their engagement shoot! How on earth did that slip through the net as it was awesome!

Tara and Ciaran live in the Gorbals in Glasgow and they mentioned that they would like some photos taken of them both in the Gorbals Rose Garden as they love spending time there and walking the dog. It would be just our luck that it was slightly overgrown at the time we chose to visit, but still, it was a nice space to be in. But we needed something more, so they suggested the Southern Necropolis which was an ancient graveyard! However, there was something strangely beautiful about that space, it was perfect.

Here are a collection of images from the day.
