Scotland Wedding: The Barn at Dalduff Farm

This was one of the most delightful weddings to photograph as it combined rustic with pure and simple style! Plus I got to work with lots of my friends from Braw Brides (links at the bottom).

Scotland Wedding, Dalduff Farm, Ayrshire

Spending the day with their closest friends and family was the most important thing for Anne and Dave. The sheer effort they went to as well to fill Dalduff with the most intricate details, from signage to things on the tables, they literally thought of everything.

Anne and Dave put their complete trust in me which meant I could be a little creative. I worked out where and when the sun was going to set. To make the most of it, we needed to delay the speeches by 25 minutes. A quick discussion with Anne, Dave and the venue resulted in a fantastic early evening shoot in a barley field. Love it when a plan comes together.

Here is a small selection of images that tell Anne and Dave's Dalduff wedding story! Enjoy.

Anne & Dave's Engagement Session, Dalduff Farm, Ayrshire

I've been wanting to photograph a wedding at Dalduff Farm for a couple of years now, I love it's rustic look. So what better way to take a look around than to couple it up with an engagement session for Anne and Dave, who get married there in September. Dalduff Farm didn't disappoint; rustic - yes, nooks and crannies - oh yes, plenty of places to explore and get lost - hell yeah!

The kids and their gorgeous husky joined us too so we kicked off with some family photos too. Here's a sneak peek of what we got up to and if you reach the bottom, there's a slideshow of the entire shoot.

Scotland Wedding: Gleddoch House Hotel, Langbank

I don't know how we managed to dodge the (extremely heavy) showers, but we did. We even got our own chauffeur to drive us in a golf buggy to take us wherever we wanted to go, awesome! So much fun exploring the grounds of Gleddoch House Hotel with Lorna and Billy who just took the whole day in their stride.

Here is a small sneak peek for you all to enjoy.

Scotland Wedding: Doune Castle & Killearn Village Hall

A lovely morning spent at Will and Natalie's beautiful converted stables home meant I was spoiled for choice when taking photos of the dress, shoes and the amazing flowers by Endrick Blooms. Great to arrive to see Will's handy work on their VW T5 camper van too! Then the showers came and we had a dramatic entrance to Doune Castle as the rain poured down from above. But that rain was short-lived and we were able to get outside into the grounds of this amazing castle. And not knowing the area that well, I was delighted when they suggested stopping at a little bridge where you can see the castle in the background.

Fantastic to work alongside Three Sisters Bake again at their Killearn Village Hall venue and that cake! Oh and a special mention has to go to Nick & Jack from The Veritable Ceilidh Club as they performed during the ceremony. Particular highlights were Stand By Me and then Falling Slowly during the signing. Amazing stuff!

So sit back, relax and enjoy this little sneak peek from another fabulous wedding day.

Rachel & James, Crutherland House Hotel, Glasgow

What can I say about Rachel and James' wedding? Well, put it this way, we dodged the showers! I've no idea how, but we did. I'm so lucky when it comes to the weather. Anyway, a lovely day was had with lots of happiness and loads of nice conversations with all sorts of people, I really enjoy that aspect to a wedding. They were married at St Mark's Church in East Kilbride before heading off for much awesomeness at the MacDonald Crutherland House Hotel. It's surrounded by trees and if you don't know me by now, I like to go on little adventures with my couples!

So good to work alongside David from Walnut Wasp who filmed it all. And together we hatched a plan to exploit that lovely warm evening sun which came and went in a flash, but my goodness was it worth it!

So without further ado, here is a little sneak peek from Rachel and James' day for you all to enjoy.
