Lyne & David, Ingliston Country Club near Glasgow

A lovely sunny day for this wedding, so much so that I took them into the shade for some less harsh light! Ingliston Country Club is a stone's throw away from Glasgow with wide open spaces and erm...lots of horses.

The National Piping Centre, Glasgow

I have a long standing relationship with The National Piping Centre in that I've photographed weddings there, I've exhibited at wedding fairs, I've done styled shoots and I've attended meetings and workshops.

And all of that means that I can stand here, hand on heart, and tell you that they have one of, if not the, best teams in Scotland. I've worked at a lot of wedding venues and I always get to see behind the scenes, the attitudes of staff towards a couple and their guests and above all the general service they provide. Absolutely everything is catered for meaning a very stress free experience for everybody.

I was absolutely delighted when they approached me to photograph all elements of the centre for a new website they'll be developing. Everything from piping tuition to having your pipes cleaned; head shots of the staff team to conference set ups; and the hotel rooms to the food in the restaurant. It was a long but amazing two days spent with so many people who work there. So much so that I actually felt part of the team when I finished.

Here is a selection of what I captured for them to help them promote their business.

Elaine & Ben's Engagement Shoot, Victoria Park, Glasgow

One thing I love when meeting a couple for their engagement shoot is catching up over a coffee beforehand. And that's exactly what we did. Of course this is usually designed to calm the nerves, but it's always lovely to just sit down and chat about all sorts of things, especially as usually I may not have seen them for over a year.

After lots of chat, we headed to Victoria Park. A place where Elaine and Ben love to go. It was perfect also because Ben is a gardener so he was in his element. They took me to a part of the park I never knew existed. We walked through secret passageways cut through the rock that would open up into the most amazing spaces with loads of colours thrown in for good measure.

Elaine and Ben get married in November and after a recent recce of the venue together, I can't wait for their day to arrive.

Thanks for being so awesome guys, here is a small selection of what we got up to for you all to enjoy.

Tara & Ciaran's Engagement shoot, Glasgow

Saturday morning, the day of Tara and Ciaran's wedding and only then did I realise when sharing one of their engagement shoot images on my Facebook Page that I hadn't actually blogged their engagement shoot! How on earth did that slip through the net as it was awesome!

Tara and Ciaran live in the Gorbals in Glasgow and they mentioned that they would like some photos taken of them both in the Gorbals Rose Garden as they love spending time there and walking the dog. It would be just our luck that it was slightly overgrown at the time we chose to visit, but still, it was a nice space to be in. But we needed something more, so they suggested the Southern Necropolis which was an ancient graveyard! However, there was something strangely beautiful about that space, it was perfect.

Here are a collection of images from the day.

Scotland Wedding, National Piping Centre, Glasgow

What can I say about Andrew and Andrew? From the moment I met them over a year ago I've thoroughly enjoyed being in their company. They're full of energy, enthusiastic about everything and are just genuinely nice guys. It's been an absolute pleasure whenever we've discussed the wedding plans, spent time doing their engagement shoot and talking about all sorts of stuff.

The morning of the wedding was so much fun. The guys were getting ready in one of the rooms in The Pipers' Tryst together with their bridesmaids Elena, Leanne & Katrina. Lots of laughs, hugs, smiles and much hilarity, the room was emotionally charged. I kept myself busy with the kilts, the rings, the shoes and the flowers before returning to the room to capture all the fun.

Every time I've photographed a wedding at The Piping Centre, I'm amazed by just how much running around behind the scenes is done by Caitlin and the team. Everything is looked after and this time was no different. Every single worry, panic, request or whatever, was dealt with calmly meaning that Andrew and Andrew could just concentrate on getting ready and then getting married!

It was so lovely to get to meet Andrew and Andrew's friends and family, they all helped make their day a special one. And in some ways I'm a little sad that it's finally happened as I've enjoyed the anticipation of that day for so long. But I am looking forward to meeting them in their new home over the summer. Get the coffee on boys!
