Karen & David's Engagement shoot

I was so looking forward to spending time with Karen and David, I'd been desperate to take photos of them both. The location didn't disappoint, Mugdock Country Park, one of the best places to just wander and explore. Now as most of you know, I need my coffee in the morning so that's exactly what we did first! It's a great way to settle the nerves and just chat about all sorts as well as what we were about to embark on.

There are so many areas of this park. We decided upon a short path, beside the lake and then the walk through to the castle ruins. Every time I saw something, I'd stop and take photos. David's son Liam also joined us for the first part of the shoot, he was a wee character and very smiley! Then Karen's mum Margaret kept Liam busy whilst Karen, David and I went off to explore.

At the time of writing this, their wedding is fast approaching, a church ceremony and then on to Carnbooth House Hotel which I'm really looking forward to. Here is a small selection from the shoot.

Andrew & Andrew's engagement shoot

What can I say about Andrew and Andrew? Well, they're a great laugh and make fabulous coffee! We've had lots of fun chats each time we've met and there are lots of lovely little details that will happen on their wedding day that I can't wait to photograph.

They both live very close to Queen's Park (well, they used to until they moved into their new house last week), so that would be our location for their engagement shoot. A place where they have spent lots of time walking around and generally chilling out. Which is exactly what we did together. We walked and talked and talked and walked. Boy did we walk! And we found lots of lovely little places where I captured them both together. A mix of nervous emotions coupled with lots of endearing love for the other. Perfect! See for yourself . . .

Carys & Dan's Engagement Shoot

I'll always remember the excited look on Carys and Dan's faces at the end of our first meeting. Needless to say I was delighted when they told me they wanted me to photograph their wedding! Imagine a very tall guy jumping high, punching the air and exclaiming a Tom Jones style "Yeah" (well, maybe not the Tom Jones bit).

The day of their engagement shoot seemed so far away for so long, but finally it arrived. We decided to meet up in a cafe where we drank coffee, had a bite to eat and talked all about the wedding plans so far. Then it was time. I took a nervous Carys and Dan to Queen's Park in Glasgow. The thing I loved about this shoot was the fact we had nothing scripted and nothing planned, we just walked through the park and explored, stopping every time I saw a place with Carys & Dan in it.

The result? Some gorgeous images displaying the love that Carys has for Dan and that Dan has for Carys. Memories of a time they were together before they walked down the aisle.

Good luck on your wedding day Carys and Dan, I cannot wait to spend a fabulous day with you both!
